2020 “Cream of the Crop”

CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) PROGRAM

Program runs from June 1, 2020, to December 31,2020

Three Sisters Gardens grow food, but more than that, we grow the community. We put down deep roots providing resources, training, and support needed to establish enduring gardens and farms that become valuable assets to neighborhoods. We do all of this with respect for all people and the environment.

The mission of Three Sisters Gardens is to teach at-risk youth how to grow/harvest/distribute organic vegetables and engage the community to get involved in supporting the at-risk youth population in Yolo County. A portion of the proceeds from your farmstand purchase or CSA subscription support that effort.

Our full-season program runs for 30 weeks from June through December, which is the range of the local growing season here in West Sacramento.

Our own trucks deliver your share straight from the farm to your doorstep.

It makes it easier to find the time to pick up after work.

What is Community Supported Agriculture?

Community Supported Agriculture is much different than going to the local grocery and buying your vegetables. It is a direct partnership between you the consumer and our farm. CSA members pay in advance for a share of the upcoming harvest and are ensured high-quality local produce, and we the farm are ensured a consistent market. Produce is harvested direct from our fertile vegetable fields located in West Sacramento. Immediately after harvest we deliver “CSA shares” to our members’ homes, offices or make it available for pickup at our designated farms.

What does a CSA Membership Include?

Weekly (for 30 weeks) or monthly (1 box a week for four weeks) delivery/pickup of seasonal organic vegetables, fruits and herbs bursting with flavor and freshly harvested from our fields. Three Sisters Gardens also offers a single box (one time order) and gift subscriptions are also available for all options.

Invitations to TSG Member events, farm workshops, gardening and cooking classes, potlucks,  as well as our annual Spring and Fall farm open house so you can see where your food is grown and meet the people who produce it.
