WHAT WE DO

PROGRAMS
AND PROJECTS

We offer a range of programs and services designed to bring community members together around the shared goal of growing and distributing fresh, organic produce.

Our mission at Three Sisters Gardens is to inspire and empower community members to take control of their food system and build a healthier, more sustainable future for all. We do this by providing a range of services and programs that promote community building, urban farming, and gardening education. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a newcomer to urban agriculture, we welcome you to join us in our efforts to create a more just and equitable food system.

  • We use urban agriculture to grow fresh, organic seasonal vegetables, CA Native flowers/plants, herbs, and flowers right where we live. Our urban farming practices prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility, and we aim to create a food system that is shared through our Community Giving Program, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), and local school districts & restaurants sales. Volunteers are always welcome at our farms.

  • Our Urban Farm Youth Leadership Development Program is part lecture-style curriculum, part hands-on activities, and full of community building and fun! Through hands-on learning and mentorship, participants cultivate nutritious food while honoring harmony, respect for nature, and intergenerational knowledge sharing. This program is offered to youth under the age of 25.

  • Our Community Giving Program is dedicated to directly distributing organic produce to low-income residents in the surrounding community, free of charge. With a commitment to food justice & access, we aim to bridge the gap between urban agriculture and underinvested communities. If you are a West Sacramento resident and are interested in receiving TSG vegetables/fruits, contact us today.

  • Through CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, customers have a more direct connection to their farmers and the source of their food. CSA Members pay a deposit at the beginning of our growing season, and in return, will receive a box of our fresh, organic vegetables each week.

  • We believe that education is essential to building a sustainable and equitable food system. Our Skills Shares provide hands on training to teach community members of all ages how to grow, harvest, and prepare fresh, healthy food. We also teach other valuable skills along with raising awareness of current events and how we can take action.

  • At Three Sisters Gardens, we hold space to connect with community members and to learn from each other. Our free events aim to make all-around health & wellness accessible to everyone, from our Skills Shares to Yoga on the Farm to celebrating art & culture at our annual All Nations Indigefest.
